Description: In this course, students will be introduced to the field of medical anthropology and the practice of ethnography. We will read the ethnographies that deal with some of ways in which people imagine their bodies through, for instance, race, gender, illness, and disability. Students will also write their own short ethnographies as they practice writing skills in the discipline anthropology. This course is eligible for credit toward the major in anthropology and history.
