Description: This class is an introduction to political, economic, and social controversies regarding food resources and nutrition. Topics covered will include the organic food movement, food security, Genetically Modified Organisms, and federal dietary recommendations, as well as encourage participation in campus and citywide contributions to sustainable food production and consumption.
