Description: Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization via MATLAB. Numerical methods: Newton's method in one and several dimensions. Gaussian elimination and optimization. Application to problems in science and engineering. Lectures are held Monday and Wednesdays. Students must register for one section of the Friday Lab course, CAAM 211. Recommended Prerequisite(s): MATH 101.
