Description: This seminar will explore the alliance between aesthetics, science, and ideology at the core of French and Latin American modernism. Focusing on early twentieth-century scientific and cultural dialogues between France and Latin America, this seminar will have as main territories of exploration: Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Havana, and Caracas. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for HART 563 if student has credit for HART 463.
