Description: This class will examine some representative cities in China and discuss the culture and history of ancient China as well as the current transformation of modern China. This class also provides many survival tips and sightseeing information for students who are interested in traveling around China. Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou and Hangzhou are covered and two to three selective cities are decided via voting as the semester progresses. No Chinese background needed. All materials are in English translation.
