Description: This class will provide an introduction of Indian cinema to students, focusing mainly on Hindi movies. It will discuss a brief history of modern India exmaining key events from Independence till date that inspire "Bollywood" movies. The relevance of cinema in Indian society will be investigated to understand trends, etc.
