Description: An introduction to the various types of synesthesia (cross-sensory perception), and the experiences associated with each. We will examine possible reasons for experiences such as seeing sounds or tasting shapes. We will look at synesthesia in the context of case studies, neuroscience research, language, art, creativity, and psychoactive drugs.
