Description: Introduces strategies for research and writing about two categories of objects, "caged" and "free range." "Caged" objects are professionally managed in institutional collections or defined in literary works. "Free range" objects are in use by individuals in a community. Weekly interpretive sketches, three essays, three field trips to museum events.
