Description: Athletic performance is greatly influenced by basic laws of mechanics. The motion of projectiles (including the Magnus effect) has broad application, as does the mechanics of impact. Other important topics include biomechanics of human performance, limits and records, development of optimal strategies and design of regulation of sports equipment.
