Description: The course examines a number of cases from popular genres-romance, novels, television sit-coms, tourist sites, movies, rock music and submits them to a variety of theoretical approaches from disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, literary studies, and philosophy. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ANTH 338 if student has credit for ANTH 538.
