Description: CHEM 201 is a one semester advanced survey of the principles of General Chemistry. CHEM 201 is designed as a bridge between AP Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for first-semester freshmen who are pre-professional students who want to improve MCAT or DAT scores, chemistry majors who do not want to enroll directly in CHEM 211, or others who would benefit from additional background in thermodynamics and kinetics. CHEM 201 does not fulfill premedical requirements for general chemistry or count towards the chemistry major. Enrollment in CHEM 201 does not compromise AP Chemistry credit.
