Description: Seminar focuses on the body and bodies (human and non-human) as not only symbolic of culture, but also as culture itself. How do physiology and social processes interact? What is the physical nature of "cultural" categories such as gender, race, class, and sexuality and (where) do we draw the line between nature and nurture? Cross-listed with ANTH 356.
