Description: This course is a modern introduction to problems in computational biology spanning sequence to structure. The course has three modules: the first introduces statistical techniques in sequence analysis; the second covers statistical machine learning techniques for understanding experimental data generated in computational biology; and the third introduces problems in the structure of complex biomolecules. Cross-list: BIOE 470, STAT 470. Recommended Prerequisites: COMP 211 and COMP 280 and STAT 310.
