Description: This course examines various representations of spirituality and the sacred in modernist and post modernist aesthetics, and their corresponding expressions in historical and contemporary museum practices. Special empahsis will be placed on the outstanding collections of the adjacent museum district, the Menil Collection, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Cross-list: HART 394.
