Description: This discussion-based course, covers social, cultural, political, and historical dimensions of science and technology. Problems, qualitative methods, and theory in analyses of science and technology; sociology of scientific knowledge; contemporary and historical case studies; scientific and technical knowledge in historical, institutional, and organizational contexts. Attention to cultural studies and feminist approaches to interdisciplinary studies of scientific knowledge and expertise.
