Description: Includes the measurement and determination of national income; money, banking, and fiscal policy; business cycles, unemployment, and inflation; international trade and balance of payments, and other contemporary economic problems. Required for economics and mathematical economic analysis majors. May also be offered in the summer. Students (majors and non-majors) enrolled at Rice who wish to transfer this course from another institution must pass a department qualifying examination.
