Description: Survey of American women's history examines the lives of elite, working, black, Indian, and white women, and traces changes in women's legal, political, and economic status from the mid-17th century through the Civil War. Topics include slavery, suffrage, sexuality, and feminism. Cross-list: WGST 234.
