Description: Drawing for the Non-Art-Major is intended to introduce basic, fundamental art practice to students not intending to major in art. This course will work to develop perceptive and interpretive skills -- working both inside and outside traditional thought -- to translate three-dimensional objects into two dimensional work. Students will work in multiple black and white media and will be introduced to linear perspective and artistic composition. Students will be required to participate in class discussions and critiques. Space is limited. Registration does not guarantee a space in class. The final course roster is formulated on the first day of class by the individual instructor.
