Description: Modeling of and computation by single neurons. Establish proficiency in the use of NEURON, a widely-used neurosimulation package, and so provide motivation and deliver a practical skill. From there, poke under NEURON's hood and derive the fundamental equations of neurodynamics and construct simple analytical and numerical procedures for their solution. Course taught at Baylor College of Medicine.
