Description: Review of fundamental properties of nonlinear systems. Nonlinear ordinary differential equations: Existence and uniqueness of solution. Lyapunov Stability: Stability definitions, Lyapunov's direct method, invariance theory, stability of linear systems, Lyapunov's linearization method, converse theorems. Input-Output stability: Small gain theorem, passivity theorem. Case studies: Application to control problems including nonlinear and adaptive control and robotics.
