Description: ORIGIN AND EVOLUTION OF CASTILIAN SPANISH ***** The Romance languages come from the language spoken by the populace of Rome at the time of the Empire. This spoken language, known a Vulgar Latin, began to be used in Spain around 197 A.D. The objective of this course is to analyze the developmnet of the reconstructed form of spoken Latin into Hispano-Romance and into present-day Castilian.
