Description: GENE THERAPY COURSE ***** This course will review the principles and strategies underlying gene therapy approaches in animal models and human beings. The current methods for gene delivery to cells ex vivo and in vivo will be discussed along with current cutting-edge approaches for improving the specificity and persistence of gene expression. The course will also cover current disease applications of gene therapy and the strategies taken to produce therapeutic results.
