Introduction to modern practice and chemical engineering applications of scientific computing: linear algebra (review); computer-aided solution of systems of linear equations:(direct, iterative); evalutation of integrals; systems of nonlinear algebraic equations; systems of ordinary differential equations; one-dimensional boundary value problems; stability and accuracy of computational methods; computational software libraries. Principles illustrated through chemical engineering examples.
