Description: MATHEMATICAL NEUROSCIENCE ***** Modeling of and computation by single neurons. Establish proficiency in the use of NEURON, a widely-used neurosimulation package, and so provide motivation and deliver a practical skill. From there, poke under NEURON's hood and derive the fundamental equations of neurodynamics and construct simple analytical and numerical procedures for their solution. ***** Also offered as CAAM 415.
