Description: PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF INDUCTIVELY-COUPLED PLASMA MASS SPECTROMETRY ***** This course is designed to introduce students to the principles and practices of inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry. Emphasis will be placed on geologic applications. Basic concepts of mass spectometry, data reduction, data analysis, sample preparation, and data presentation will be discussed. Students taking the course for full credit (4) will be expected to develop a small experiment. ***** Prerequisite(s): ESCI 101 or equivalent, ESCI 322, ESCI 430 or consent of instructor. ***** Instructor(s): Lee
