Description: THE ART AND MECHANICS OF TRANSLATION I

An introduction to the craft of translation. Working with various types of texts in English and Spanish, students will begin to acquire the theoretical, linguistic, and research tools to solve common translation problems. This course will improve Spanish proficiency, broaden cross-cultural understanding, and students' communicative abilities.
