Description: PHILOSOPHICAL PERSPECTIVES ON SCIENCE ***** The nature, origins, and impact of scientific knowledge will be examined from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. In addition to works by some of history's greatest philosophers, including Descartes and Hume, readings will include selections from 20th-century philosophers, scientists, historians, and feminists.
