Description: Latin American writers have achieved great distinction in the genre of the short story. This course studies texts by some of the continent's best-known short-story writers, such as Cortazar, Borges, Monterroso, Rulfo, Fuentes, Garcia Marquez, Elena Garro, Ana Lydia Vega, Clarice Lispector, Benedetti, Uslar Pietri, Massiani, Lemebel, Asis, and Carpentier. Taught in Spanish.
