Description: This course focuses on social inequalities in urban spaces and explores explanations for urban inequality, including industrialization, globalization, suburbanization, social capital, and family of origin. Students will also learn about policy targeted to urban inequality. Focus will mainly be on U.S. cities with some discussion of urbanization around the globe.
