Description: What is a good life? For millennia, people across Asia have wondered about this question. In this class, we will examine and evaluate some of the answers given by philosophers, religious authorities, artists, and ordinary people. Who had it right? Is there one answer that applies to everyone, or is good life individually variable? In addition to brief lectures, the course will be based on weekly small-group discussion which will culminate in the major group presentation at the end of the semester.
