Description: Archaeologists use artificial intelligence to make fascinating discoveries about the human past, using AI to locate archaeological sites, identify artifacts, decipher ancient texts, build chronologies, manage data, and share information. But what is at stake as AI increasingly shapes knowledge, communication, and power? In this course we learn about new applications of AI in archaeological research and cultural heritage and also debate the costs of AI for the future of the environment, creativity, social relations, and politics.
