Description: This seminar course provides a foundation in the logic and practice of social science research for Moody Scholars (management track) students interested in evidence-based decision-making—whether in academic research or applied consulting. Students learn how to translate complex questions into testable ideas, design studies, analyze data, and interpret empirical evidence. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking skills, understanding research design tradeoffs, and communicating insights to both scholarly and professional audiences. The course prepares students to design independent research projects and to apply research tools to real-world organizational and societal challenges.
