Description: This course presents an introduction to microfluidics, including theoretical analysis of microscale flows, basic understanding of microscale properties, fabrication processes for microfluidic devices and an overview of common applications, many of which are relevant for bioprocessing and biodetection. Basic understanding of physics, chemistry, intermediate calculus and fluid mechanics is required. Additional work required for Graduate course.
