Description: This course is an exploration of the fundamental role of engineering in the transition to a sustainable society and how different civil & environmental engineering subdisciplines are incorporating sustainability into their practice. The course introduces a systems-thinking framework through case studies that address engineering challenges through a sustainability lens, incorporating their context and critically evaluating the potential social and environmental impacts of proposed solutions.
