Description: This course introduces a wide range of analysis techniques of relevance to the flight and performance characteristics of subsonic aircraft. The course is organized in five modules covering the following topics: review of basic aerodynamics, flow types, equation of motion, aircraft performance, and longitudinal/lateral stability and control. The course is supplemented with examples of aircraft design and performance, as well as with the analysis of real-life aircraft accidents to help students understand the practical use of the subject matter.
