Description: Introduction to the use of continuum mechanics to solve fundamental problems related to mass and energy transport problems arising in the study of solid Earth, planets and moons. Topics include: heat conduction, convective heat transfer, planetary thermal evolution, geological fluid dynamics, flow through porous media, rheology of planetary materials. Cross-list: EEPS 464.
