Description: An introduction to the cultural products of the region known as "Cono Sur." Often considered a “Global Agriculture Powerhouse,” Southern Cone societies have developed a wide range of cultural products—literature, film, and visual art—that engage with agriculture, plantation farming, and the tensions between rural and urban areas. Taught in Spanish. Previously offered as SPPO 384. Mutually exclusive. Credit cannot be earned for SPAN 384 if student has previously taken SPPO 384. Second-year Spanish level is recommended for this course. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Second-year Spanish level is recommended for this course.
