Description: Experiments illustrating techniques in synthetic organic chemistry, purification, and characterization of organic compounds using instrumental methods of analysis. Assignments include an emphasis on scientific writing. This course must be taken as the first advanced laboratory for the chemistry major. Enrollment in CHEM 365 requires either prior completion of CHEM 313 or 320, or concurrent enrollment in one of these courses.
