Description: UNIV 003 IS A PLACEHOLDER FOR UNIV 330: Medical Exploration and Observership. The UNIV 330 course is designed for currently enrolled undergraduate students to gain exposure to the medical setting and develop professional skills while earning course credit. The purpose is to allow you to explore careers in the health professions through exposure to medical shadowing and the healthcare industry. To be considered for UNIV 330, students must complete the UNIV 330 application and register for UNIV 003 by 11:59 pm on Friday, November 22nd. If selected for the roster, you will be required to register for your assigned UNIV 330 section and drop UNIV 003 from your schedule prior to the start of the semester through ESTHER. Space is limited, and registration for UNIV 003 does not guarantee placement in UNIV 330. UNIV 330 contains both Canvas modules and a shadowing component. Shadowing blocks are assigned based on physician and student availability and will take place once a week for 3.5 hours on Monday-Thursday mornings/afternoons. Course Application: https://forms.gle/oKVzVv3MWZ4bVAEi8 Repeatable for Credit.
