Description: INTRODUCTION TO BIOMECHANICS AND BIOMATERIALS ***** Introduction to the fundamentals of biomechanics including force analysis, mechanics of deformable bodies, stress and strain, multiaxial deformations, and viscoelasticity. Biomechanics of soft and hard tissues. Structural and material properties of biomaterials. Materials covered include both natural and synthetic ones intended to function in the biological environment.
