Description: A hands-on introduction to astronomical spectroscopy that employs the campus observatory, dark sky observing sites, and state of the art data analysis software. This course builds on the knowledge and techniques introduced in ASTR229. The course includes a capstone research project that the student designs and implements in consultation with the instructor.
