Description: This course is designed to enable the student to be knowledgeable about important engineering fundamentals surrounding the global transition to low carbon energies. It covers three important aspects of the energy transition: (1) energy resources (fossil and non-fossil) and their production, (2) engineering methods to decarbonize various energy consumption sectors, and (3) metrics to measure the pace of transition to a low carbon economy.
