Description: The course will expose students to the best classical literary works created in the Chinese tradition, and give them a general introduction to different genres, including poetry, fiction, drama, and philosophical essays. While the course is taught in English, all the readings will be in original texts of Chinese literature so that students will be able to taste its original beauty. Cross-list: ASIA 422.
