Description: This is a skills-based career development experience designed to equip students with the capabilities, tools, and structured practice needed to successfully navigate recruiting. Through hands-on workshops, guided application, peer collaboration, and real-world simulations, students will actively build and apply critical recruiting skills.
Throughout the course, students will develop and practice the foundational career activities and competencies required for successful recruiting, including articulating their value proposition, building authentic professional relationships, communicating with confidence, and executing a focused and adaptable recruiting strategy. Emphasis is placed on developing concurrent recruiting plans to increase resilience and maximize opportunities in a competitive market.
This course builds on the foundational concepts and preparation introduced through the CDO summer online course and the Launch orientation programming, which are intentionally designed to scaffold learning and enable students to engage fully and effectively from the start of the fall term. Recommended Prerequisite(s): "Launch (orientation) programming" Repeatable for Credit.
