Description: This course covers the basics of designing, fabricating, and testing daughter cards for microcontrollers such as the Arduino. Using PCB design software such as KiCad, students will design, fabricate, and test their printed circuit board. The content of ELEC 497 is a subset of the PCB design content in ELEC 240/244 and ENGI 301. Students with credit in these courses should not take ELEC 497 without permission of instructor. Recommended Prerequisite(s): Some knowledge of embedded programming. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for ELEC 497 if student has credit for ELEC 240/ELEC 244.
