Description: Darcy's law, 1-D and 2-D steady-state groundwater flow, transient groundwater flow, aquifer testing, movement of chemicals in the subsurface, modeling groundwater flow and contaminant transport, current issues in hydrogeology including salt water intrusion, subsidence, and emerging environmental contaminants. Includes a final project using groundwater flow and contaminant transport models MODFLOW and MT3D. Cross-list: CEVE 518. Mutually Exclusive: Cannot register for CEVE 418 if student has credit for CEVE 518.
