Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of current and emerging material platforms for modern nanoelectronics. It aims to bridge the gap between modern topics in material science and its implementation in practical devices. Beginning with the historical development of the transistor, the course examines technological advancements such as high-k dielectrics, ferroelectric transistors, and contact/channel engineering. Finally, it broadens its focus to emerging materials, covering 2D materials, III-V compounds, Carbon Nanotubes, Complex Oxides, Spintronics, and NEMS/MEMS devices.
