Description: Drawing on the exquisite collections at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, this course takes an interdisciplinary approach to consider the materiality, impact of cross-cultural exchanges, and interpretation of Islamic art, ca. 800s-1800s. Examination of original art and conservation workshops will enable students to gain knowledge of materials and techniques.
