Description: Advancement of biochemical laboratory methods, record keeping, technical communication skills, and research strategies. Students maintain a research quality laboratory notebook and submit a paper in the style of a journal article. Offered first half of each semester and in Summer Session I. BIOC 301 (formerly BIOS 301) is required but it can be taken during the same semester as BIOC 311.
