Description: This course introduces semiconducting materials to upper undergraduate/junior graduate students, providing a comprehensive knowledge of the fundamental properties of semiconductors and the principles of basic devices for materials scientists and engineers. Topics include: growth of semiconductors, electrons in semiconductors, current in semiconductors, semiconductors in real worlds, analysis of semiconductors, and next-generation semiconductors.
